Branding Process for Comfort Coffee Club
The branding journey for Comfort Coffee Club was designed to capture the warmth, energy, and community spirit of coffee culture while delivering a modern, approachable identity system. The process included several stages, each carefully curated to ensure cohesion across visuals, typography, and storytelling.
1. Concept Development
We began by defining the brand’s essence: comfort, creativity, and connection through coffee. This was translated into playful yet bold design directions, emphasizing approachability without sacrificing professionalism. The vision was to create a brand that resonates with both casual coffee enthusiasts and lifestyle-oriented consumers.
2. Logo & Emblems
Two distinct emblems were developed to embody the brand personality:
Emblem #1: A friendly, cartoon-style coffee cup with expressive lines, representing warmth and character.
Emblem #2: A coffee cup with a smiling face, symbolizing positivity and comfort.
These emblems work interchangeably across applications, from digital to print, giving the brand flexibility while maintaining consistency.
3. Color Palette
The palette balances energy with depth:
Primary Blue (#2656ea): A bold, vibrant color symbolizing trust and energy.
Secondary Black (#121212): For sophistication and modern contrast.
Accent Purple (#5B5248): Adding subtle richness and depth.
This palette provides versatility for backgrounds, highlights, and merchandise.
4. Typography
The chosen typeface, TAN Tangkiwood, blends modernity with a handcrafted vibe. It features strong, rounded characters that mirror the cozy yet stylish nature of the brand. Supporting typography ensures legibility across marketing materials, packaging, and social platforms.
5. Visual Storytelling
Photography was curated to highlight authentic coffee experiences — espresso machines in action, baristas pouring coffee, and community gatherings. The imagery emphasizes both the artisanal process and the lifestyle element, reinforcing the brand’s message of comfort and connection.
6. Applications & Identity System
From social media visuals to in-store branding, the system was designed to be dynamic and recognizable. Playful emblems, bold color fields, and lifestyle photography come together to form a cohesive identity that can scale across digital and physical touchpoints.
